“We went to the mountains of Joseph,

To a center with pictures galore

And furthermore

They were gorgeous,

We all devoured our food,

We arrived and tumbled from the hill,

We all fell and were frozen solid,

It was hilarious to see my classmates roll down the hill,

When the races started, the crowd started cheering,

It was as loud as a circus,

The dogs were so furry and cute,

And after the race I slipped down the hill

And hit my face..”

"I felt as cold as ice on a winter morning.

I saw dogs

they were faster than the Flash

My experience … the best.

I smelled the winter breeze.

I tasted my PB and J.

I was as tired as a sloth.

I rolled down a hill and went 100 miles per second.

And I loved it"

Fergi

So cool to be there

Mushers and a bunch of cute dogs running,

What I experienced was fun,

I smelled water in the in the air,

I tasted water and peanut butter,

The snow was cold and wet

It was fun to be there

Eagle Cap Extreme Race

I saw kids running everywhere.

I ran up the hill and ran back down

And slid down on my knees

And almost hit Jon in the leg.

The snow was packy and good

For snowballs

The sun was shining

And almost blinded me.

There was tension in the air

As the dogs jerked on their leashes.

It finally started at 12:00.

Mrs. Gibbs said

Don’t touch the dogs.

By Sam W.

The greatest race I have ever seen in my entire life.

The snow was colder than the ice age.

The snow was beautiful, it glimmered in the sun.

Everything was beautiful.

The dogs were prettier than a princess.

It was AWESOME !

“Eagle Cap Extreme

It was such a dream

I saw many dogs

It was fantastic

I tasted snow

Then felt it blow

The experience was fabulous

Seeing all the dogs

It smelled like dog poop

hmmm I wonder why

Ha ha ha! You should probably know why

Now you know the story of the big race

Hope you enjoyed, see you another day!.”

"The Dog Sled Race

I felt the dogs’ effort,

The dogs felt like they were in a construction site.

I felt the cold; it was as cold as a freezer.

I saw snow that was as white as blinding light,

I saw dogs and people.

I saw the sky; it was as blue as the sea.

I saw the trees that were as tall as three men standing on each other.

I saw the drones flying in the sky;

they flew so high that they went into space.

I experienced the racers wanting to win.

I experienced how tiring climbing up a hill is;

I was as tired as a man that did not get any sleep.

I experienced the cold; it was as cold as ice.

I smelled fresh air.

I smelled the glory of the racers.

I smelled the trees.

I tasted the carrots in my lunch. I tasted a sandwich."

Eagle Cap Extreme Sled Dog Race!

I heard dogs barking, people talking

I saw a lot of people and snow

I still tasted the cookie from lunch

I felt the melted snow on my feet

When I first got there

it was as cold as an ice cube,

but later got really warm

Swoosh, and off they went

Eagle Cap Extreme!

Two classes went to Ferguson Ridge to watch sled dog racers start their race.

I heard dogs barking as loud as a herd of Elephants.

I also heard people cheering.

The snow was so pretty.

The pine smelled so good.

Seeing all of the dogs and people,

That Field trip was AWESOME!
